Softball Recap: Easton Area Find Success

Nazareth Area typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Easton Area proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Blue Eagles, sneaking past 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in April.

Audrey Rinda spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Gabby Orsato was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

Easton Area's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-9. As for Nazareth Area, they moved to 14-3 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Easton Area will head out to face off against Phillipsburg at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Nazareth Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
