Volleyball Recap: Wagner Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

After losing to Hanson the last time they met, Wagner decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Red Raiders won by a set and slipped past the Beavers 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Wagner might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Hanson scored at least 14 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 21-25, 23-25, 16-14.

Ravyn Medricky paced Wagner's offense, picking up 18 kills. Medricky got some help from Kylin Insko and her 40 assists. Finally, Medricky was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Wagner pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hanson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wagner will host Elk Point-Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hanson, they will be playing at home against Kimball/White Lake at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
