Softball Recap: South Fremont Cougars vs. Bonneville Bees

South Fremont lost against Bonneville on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The South Fremont Cougars wound up on the wrong side of a tough 12-5 walloping at the hands of the Bonneville Bees. South Fremont has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Fremont saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charly Stoddard, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

On Bonneville's side, Gracie Longhurst was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 12 over 4.2 innings pitched. Longhurst was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Alli Sutherland was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. Mary Eskelson was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

South Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bonneville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
