            The Academy of Holy Angels Stars will challenge the Edina Hornets at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
Academy of Holy Angels is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Minnesota's top teams: Visitation, who was ranked fifth  at the time (Academy of Holy Angels was ranked 19th). The Stars came up short against  the Blazers on Wednesday, falling  12-6. The loss was the Stars' first of the season.
The scorekeeper got an easy start  on Monday as neither Edina nor Wayzata made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Hornets' pitcher stepped up to hand the Trojans  a   4-0 shutout. The game was the first time the Hornets have beaten the Trojans on their field since April 19, 2021.
Not much got past  Ella Meyer, who gave up just  a  hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Wayzata off the board. Meyer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  Kenzie Cox was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.  Mia Kapoor was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Edina is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. Having lost for the first time  this season, Academy of Holy Angels  fell to 5-1.
