Elida and Hawken squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Elida had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hawken Hawks, falling 73-49. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Elida's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Hawken, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-7.
