Soccer Game Preview: Roane County vs. South-Doyle

The Roane County Yellowjackets will venture away from home to face off against the South-Doyle Cherokees at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Roane County comes in on eight and South-Doyle on three.

Roane County's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Heritage 4-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Roane County's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Heritage are ranked 280th).

Meanwhile, South-Doyle made easy work of Alcoa on Friday and carried off a 4-0 victory. South-Doyle's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

South-Doyle's win bumped their record up to 10-1-1. As for Roane County, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1-1.
