Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sarah Saunders and Hannah Hess Lead Greenbrier Christian Academy to Victory

Greenbrier Christian Academy won the last time they faced Chincoteague and things went their way on Thursday too. The Gators put the hurt on the Ponies with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Greenbrier Christian Academy was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-8, 25-15.

Leading Greenbrier Christian Academy to victory were Hannah Hess and Sarah Saunders. Hess had six aces and four assists, while Saunders hit 90% for nine kills and eight aces.

Looking ahead, Greenbrier Christian Academy will face off against Atlantic Shores Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Gators their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Chincoteague, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Delmar at 5:30 p.m. on the 9th.
