New Britain posted their closest victory since April 26, 2024 on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Plainville Blue Devils 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Golden Hurricanes: when they faced off against the Blue Devils last Wednesday, they had to take a 5-1 loss.

The win made it two in a row for New Britain and bumps their season record up to 9-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Plainville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Britain will challenge Platt at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Panthers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Plainville, they will venture away from home to face off against Guilford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
