Marist is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Pelham. The War Eagles came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The win was familiar territory for the War Eagles, who have now won four matches in a row.

Their offense was headlined by Katie Elder and Molly Hayes, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Grace Kipers and her eight assists. Sawyer Straley controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Marist's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Pelham, their loss dropped their record down to 1-2.

Marist has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Starkville on the 23rd. As for Pelham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Buckhorn on the 23rd.
