Football Game Preview: Rim of the World Fighting Scots vs. Chaffey Tigers

The Rim of the World Fighting Scots will venture away from home to square off against the Chaffey Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rim of the World will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Rim of the World will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Grand Terrace, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Fighting Scots secured a 31-26 W over the Titans on Friday. 31 seems to be a good number for the Fighting Scots as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Tatum Ortiz had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 301 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made five total tackles.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Chaffey, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Moreno Valley by a score of 38-30 on Thursday.

Rim of the World better keep an eye on Alexis Almeida. He was instrumental in Chaffey's win, rushing for 146 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. They are undefeated when Almeida posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.

Chaffey was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 417 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got Chaffey back to even at 3-3. As for Rim of the World, their record now sits at 5-0.

Rim of the World didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Chaffey in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 31-26 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Almeida, who rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 36 receiving yards.
