Baseball Recap: Llano Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Llano put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Junction Eagles with a sharp 20-3 victory. Fans of the Yellowjackets have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Jordan Miller was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Will Morris was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grayson Lilie, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Llano's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Llano will host Goldthwaite at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Junction, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Miles at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
