Volleyball Recap: Anna Wishard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chesapeake Science Point over Southern

Chesapeake Science Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southern Bulldogs. Chesapeake Science Point was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Southern earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Several Chesapeake Science Point players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anna Wishard, who had 18 kills and 17 digs. Wishard has been hot recently, having posted six or more kills the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Wishard, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Chesapeake Science Point's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Southern, they moved to 2-10 with that victory, which also ended their eight-match losing streak.

Chesapeake Science Point wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Laurel on the 23rd. Southern has also already played their next matchup (against Wilde Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
