Baseball Recap: Crittenden County Comes Up Short

Crittenden County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-4 to the Trigg County Wildcats. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Hudson Stokes was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Crittenden County: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxton Duncan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Crittenden County's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6. As for Trigg County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

While Crittenden County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
