Maud waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins...and they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Ore City Rebels.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Maud was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-12.

Leah Pemberton paced Maud's offense, picking up 21 kills. Pemberton got some help from Keira Mangtamag and her 27 assists. Pemberton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Maud has now won seven of their last nine games on the road. That somehow still isn't as good as their 25-4 record this season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 6-30 Ore City and 1-4 Queen City (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 15.2% over those games). As for Ore City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's left a mark on their 6-30 record this season.

Maud has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Harleton on the 13th. As for Ore City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Linden-Kildare on the 13th.
