Josh Pounds posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
