Basketball Game Preview: Grapevine Mustangs vs. Argyle Eagles

The Grapevine Mustangs will face off against the Argyle Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Grapevine is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Grapevine lost to Colleyville Heritage on the road by a 50-35 margin.

Meanwhile, Argyle was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 57-51 to Richland. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly six points.

Grapevine's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Argyle, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 11-15.

Grapevine beat Argyle 70-63 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Grapevine repeat their success, or does Argyle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
