Football Recap: Genesee/Colton WA Falls Short of Wallace in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Genesee/Colton WA can now relate to. They fell just short of the Wallace Miners by a score of 68-66 on Friday. Genesee/Colton WA was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Wallace earlier this season, when they won 22-18.

Wallace found their leader in sophomore Cooper Miller, who threw for 359 yards and six touchdowns, and also rushed for 100 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 359 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Miller. Henry Larson was another key player, picking up 222 receiving yards and three scores.

Genesee/Colton WA's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Wallace, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Genesee/Colton WA does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wallace, they will head out to face off against Tri-Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Miners will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine games.
