Crest has gone 7-1 against Oswego recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lancers will face off against the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Crest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 14.5 runs per game this season.

Crest is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since March 19, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 12-4 to Olpe. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Lancers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Kole Walter and Henry White stepped up to the plate in a big way. Walter scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while White scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Oswego was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 14-9 to Uniontown.

Demitri Williamson and Garrett McClure did some serious damage despite the final result: Williamson scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while McClure scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Williamson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Tayton Hazell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Oswego's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Crest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-3.

Oswego's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Crest has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Oswego, though, as they've been averaging 11 hits. Given Crest's sizable advantage in that area, the Indians will need to find a way to close that gap.

Crest took their victory against Oswego when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
