Baseball Game Preview: Trimble County Raiders vs. Fort Walton Beach Vikings

The Trimble County Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Fort Walton Beach Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Trimble County has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Fort Walton Beach will arrive with four straight victories.

Trimble County lost 13-1 to Union City on Monday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Walton Beach). They blew past Gallatin County 32-0 on Monday. With that win, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.

Fort Walton Beach hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.

Fort Walton Beach pushed their record up to 10-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Trimble County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
