Basketball Recap: Henderson County's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Henderson County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Danville Christian Academy Warriors. The Colonels' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Henderson County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Kemp, who shot 70% from the field on her way to 17 points. The dominant performance gave Kemp a new career-high in points. A'Tylia Green was another key player, putting up 18 points and six steals.

Henderson County's loss dropped their record down to 28-6. As for Danville Christian Academy, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 27-7.

Henderson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Danville Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-44 defeat against Sacred Heart on the 15th.
