Baseball Recap: Briggsdale Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Caliche, Briggsdale was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Weldon Valley Warriors. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won nine in a row.

David Reno was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Jeremiah Sparks was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Briggsdale's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Weldon Valley, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to an 7-7 draw later that day.
