Basketball Recap: Floodwood Takes a Loss

Floodwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 47th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lake of the Woods Bears. The Polar Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Floodwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Lake of the Woods, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Floodwood will challenge Hill City at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake of the Woods, they will welcome Kelliher/Northome at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
