Football Recap: Elk City Piles Up the Points Against Douglass

There's no place like home for Elk City, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Douglass Trojans 37-6. The matchup marked the Elks' most dominant victory of the season.

Elk City's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Douglass, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elk City will head out to challenge Weatherford at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Douglass, they will venture away from home to square off against Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Owls have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
