Meanwhile, after only 24 points in their last contest, Chiefland made sure to put some points up on the board against St. John Lutheran on Tuesday. Chiefland enjoyed a cozy 55-39 win over St. John Lutheran.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chiefland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryleigh Locke, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Laila Ingram , who scored 11 points along with 5 steals.
Cedar Key now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Chiefland, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Cedar Key lost to Chiefland at home by a decisive 61-47 margin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Cedar Key avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
