Queen Creek came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Desert Ridge Jaguars 14-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-1 on Tuesday.

Queen Creek let Tait Reynolds and Jet Berry run wild. Reynolds got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Berry went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Reynolds has posted since back in March. Alex Gamboa was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Queen Creek pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Desert Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.

Looking ahead, Queen Creek will head out on the road to square off against Casteel at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Colts' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Desert Ridge, they will challenge Apollo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
