Baseball Recap: St. Bernard Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Bernard can now relate to. They came up short against the Irvine Vaqueros on Friday, falling 8-0. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

St. Bernard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lennex Minor, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

St. Bernard's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Irvine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season.

St. Bernard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Irvine, they will face off against Woodbridge at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Vaqueros surely won't give up without a fight.
