There's no place like home for the Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 58-23 victory over Wesley Chapel at home. That's another feather in the cap for Academy of the Holy Names, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Academy of the Holy Names' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sam Castro led the charge by scoring eight points along with six rebounds and five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Lucy Morey, who scored seven points along with seven steals.
Academy of the Holy Names' win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Wesley Chapel, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.
Academy of the Holy Names will head out on the road to face off against Keswick Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keswick Christian is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. As for Wesley Chapel, they will be playing at home against Sunlake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
