Basketball Game Preview: Milpitas Trojans vs. Gunn Titans

Milpitas and Gunn are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Milpitas Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gunn Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Milpitas is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Milpitas will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Mountain View, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Milpitas came out on top against Mountain View by a score of 56-49 on Wednesday. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Spartans are ranked 392nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Gunn strolled past KIPP San Jose Collegiate with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 49-31.

Milpitas' win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Gunn, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Milpitas beat Gunn 69-62 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Does Milpitas have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gunn turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
