Baseball Game Preview: Bosque Bobcats vs. Sandia Prep Sundevils

The Bosque Bobcats will head out to square off against the Sandia Prep Sundevils at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bosque has given up an average of 13.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bosque came up short against Dexter on Tuesday, falling 16-5.

Tas Lupo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Adan Mulkey also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Sandia Prep and Ruidoso, and Sandia Prep kept the tradition alive. The Sundevils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Warriors on Tuesday.

Jonas Mahboub was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucas Ruelas, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Sandia Prep's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Bosque, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
