Softball Recap: Gallatin Green Wave vs. Portland Panthers

Gallatin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 17-4 to the Portland Panthers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 19, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Jordyn Lilley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Conger, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Gallatin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Portland, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gallatin will host Green Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Green Wave's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
