Nashville has gone a perfect 10-0 against Pinckneyville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Hornets will welcome the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Pinckneyville will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Nashville extended their winning streak to 17 on Wednesday. The Hornets blew past Sparta 11-2. 11 seems to be a good number for the Hornets as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Pinckneyville made sure to put some runs up on the board against Elverado on Wednesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 19-3 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Abel Clark and Dylan Keller made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Clark tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Keller pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Clark posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At bat, Clark went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI, while Keller went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Clark has become a key player for Pinckneyville: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise.

In other batting news, Brayden Cleland was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Henry Ruppert, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

The win got Pinckneyville back to even at 9-9. As for Nashville, they pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.
