Recap: Brighton Bengals vs. Skyline Eagles

The Brighton Bengals won the last time they faced the Skyline Eagles, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Brighton walked away with a 60-51 victory over Skyline. The win made it back-to-back wins for Brighton.

Brighton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nash Matheson out in front who scored 12 points along with three steals. The game was Matheson's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Bradley Easton was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.

When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, one person who can't be blamed is Landon Shaw. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. Shaw also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Wells, who scored nine points.

Brighton's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-5. As for Skyline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4.

Brighton will look to defend their home court on Friday against Highland at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Highland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Wednesday. As for Skyline, they will head out on the road to face off against Alta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alta knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 contests -- so hopefully Skyline likes a good challenge.
