Basketball Recap: Brushton-Moira Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Tupper Lake came into Monday's match looking for another win against Brushton-Moira, but Carson Fleury wouldn't allow it. The Brushton-Moira Panthers came out on top against the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks by a score of 63-52 on Monday thanks in part to Fleury, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Landyn Martin, who posted ten points and three steals. Martin is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Tupper Lake still got an impressive performance from Felix Bodeewes, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 65.4% of Tupper Lake's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Ethan Barkley was another key player, putting up six points.

The victory made it two in a row for Brushton-Moira and bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for Tupper Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Brushton-Moira will welcome Madrid-Waddington at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tupper Lake, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-41 win against Colton-Pierrepont on the 14th.
