Enumclaw extended their winning streak to eight on Saturday, bumping them up to 8-0. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 33-28 W against the Eastmont Wildcats. The win almost wasn't to be: the Hornets were down 21-7 in the second quarter.

The critical scores for Enumclaw came from Kage Kuro, Cole Chiechi, Paxton Patterson, Maddox Hendrickson, and Cameron Donovan.

As for Eastmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3. They were up 21-7 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Peyton Zelinski, who rushed for 102 yards and two scores on only seven carries. Another back making a difference was Ethan Akpodiete, who rushed for 149 yards and one TD on only 13 carries.

Looking ahead, Enumclaw will challenge White River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. White River's defense has only allowed 3.2 points per game this season, so Enumclaw's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Eastmont, they will take on West Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
