Basketball Recap: Bennett County Takes a Loss

After soaring to 55 points the game before, Bennett County was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by the St. Francis Indian Warriors 64-24. While losing is never fun, Bennett County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while St. Francis Indian is ranked 46th).

Bennett County has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for St. Francis Indian, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bennett County and Hay Springs will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for St. Francis Indian, they will venture away from home to square off against Winner at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
