Baseball Game Preview: Blue Ridge Raiders vs. Elk Lake Warriors

Blue Ridge is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Wednesday. They will venture away from home to challenge the Elk Lake Warriors at 4:30 p.m.

Blue Ridge is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They lost 11-1 to Wyoming Seminary College Prep.

Meanwhile, Elk Lake got themselves on the board against Tunkhannock on Monday, but Tunkhannock never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Tigers.

The team relied heavily on Noah Gesford, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Braydon McMicken, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Elk Lake now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Blue Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
