Basketball Game Preview: Langham Creek Lobos vs. North Shore Mustangs

The Langham Creek Lobos will head out to challenge the North Shore Mustangs at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Last Friday, Langham Creek got the win against Waller by a conclusive 64-38. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 501st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Shore). They took their matchup last Friday with ease, bagging a 77-11 victory over Channelview. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Langham Creek is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for North Shore, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Everything went Langham Creek's way against North Shore when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Langham Creek made off with a 58-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Langham Creek since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
