After a string of six wins, St. Ursula Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 12-1 to Mount Notre Dame. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bulldogs, who until this contest were averaging 3.18 runs allowed.

A Bunner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.

St. Ursula Academy's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for Mount Notre Dame, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, St. Ursula Academy will square off against Ursuline Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount Notre Dame, they will take on Ross at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Mount Notre Dame's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
