Volleyball Recap: Highland Prep West Takes a Loss

Highland Prep West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-12.

Malani Walker paced Highland Prep West's offense, picking up six kills. Walker got some help from Alexa Alonso-Hernandez and her nine assists. Sofia Serrano controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Highland Prep West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Scottsdale Preparatory Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-11.

Highland Prep West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Scottsdale Preparatory Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Valley on the 4th.
