Chicago Academy lost to Intrinsic back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Chicago Academy Cougars slipped by the Intrinsic Mustangs 35-34.

Despite the loss, Intrinsic had strong showings from Israel Paredes, who posted eight points, and Nery Paredes, who scored eight points. Those eight points gave Nery a new career-high.

Chicago Academy picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-14. As for Intrinsic, they dropped their record down to 10-13 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cougars take on the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Intrinsic, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fasman Yeshiva at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fasman Yeshiva will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Intrinsic surely won't give up without a fight.
