Soccer Game Preview: Colleyville Heritage vs. Birdville

The Colleyville Heritage Panthers will challenge the Birdville Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Colleyville Heritage sitting on six straight wins and Birdville on seven.

Colleyville Heritage's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Ryan with a sharp 6-0 victory. The Panthers' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six games.

Their offense was hitting Ryan from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ashlyn Bringedahl led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Birdville won against Richland on Tuesday with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. Everything went Birdville's way against Grapevine as Birdville made off with a 4-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Birdville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Colleyville Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Colleyville Heritage took their victory against Birdville when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Colleyville Heritage repeat their success, or does Birdville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
