Softball Recap: Redmond Gets the Win

While Redmond's win against Juanita wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Ravens 4-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-4 two weeks ago.

Ainsley Barcalow spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maggie Enich, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Addy Ruess, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Redmond hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive contests.

Redmond's record now sits at 11-2-1. As for Juanita, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.

Coming up, Redmond will square off against Lake Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the Kangaroos at the right time seeing as the Kangaroos are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Juanita, they will challenge Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
