Baseball Recap: Pickerington Central Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Pickerington Central won the last time they faced Groveport-Madison and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Cruisers.

The team relied heavily on Cole Metz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Walker Fortune, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.

Pickerington Central's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-6. As for Groveport-Madison, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pickerington Central will head out to take on Westerville South at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Wildcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
