Basketball Recap: Burlington Takes a Loss

Burlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waynoka Railroaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Elks of the 69-60 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Burlington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Waynoka, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlington will head out to challenge Cherokee at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Waynoka, they will square off against Timberlake at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
