Recap: Otsego Knights vs. Eastwood Eagles
The Otsego Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 55-33 defeat at the hands of Eastwood. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Otsego in their matchups with Eastwood: they've now lost eight in a row.
Sam Lehr and Jocelyn Cornell certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Lehr scored 16 points along with nine rebounds, while Cornell scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Lehr scored a full 48.5% of Otsego's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Otsego's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-6. As for Eastwood, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Otsego will take on Fostoria at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Eastwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Oak Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Harbor's defense has only allowed 26.6 points per game this season, so Eastwood's offense will have their work cut out for Eastwood.
