Softball Recap: Jones Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

Jones won against Senn on Monday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Eagles' way against the Rickover Naval Seadragons as they made off with an 18-7 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Delaney Treccia, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Treccia is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Jamilette Hernandez was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Jones kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in five consecutive games.

Jones' win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Rickover Naval, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.
