Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Big Valley). They came out on top against the Surprise Valley Hornets by a score of 55-45 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 43-41 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Big Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Leif Lewis, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 19 points and five steals. Josue Barba was another key player, going 8 of 19 on his way to 18 points along with five boards and three blocks.

Big Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Surprise Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Big Valley will welcome Butte Valley at 6:30 p.m. on December 18th. As for Surprise Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-42 loss against Happy Camp on the 17th.
