Softball Recap: Northeast Metro RVT Comes Up Short

Northeast Metro RVT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 16-4 to the Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-14 on April 1st.

Northeast Metro RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Coming up, Northeast Metro RVT will head out to square off against North Reading at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, they will challenge Greater Lowell Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gryphons have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
