Green Hope faced Apex in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Green Hope never let Apex on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9, 26-24.

Taylor Bruce paced Green Hope's offense, picking up nine kills. Bruce got some help from Chloe Burbage and her 29 assists. Evelyn Carlson and Xueli Wang kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Green Hope's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Apex, their loss ended a 12-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-3.

Green Hope has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Jordan on the 25th. As for Apex, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Apex Friendship on the 25th.
