Volleyball Recap: Fremd Takes a Loss

Fremd lost against Palatine back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 2-1. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pirates 25-18 in the first set.

Fremd actually scored more points across those three sets (73-70), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 18-25, 26-24, 26-24.

Fremd has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season. As for Palatine, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 12-16.

Fremd and Palatine will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Vikings see the court they'll take on Fenton at 5:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Palatine, their break will end when they face Lakes at 12:00 p.m. on the 26th.
